Is anyone else sick of all this drama involving DBSK and SME? Cos I know I am.

I’m not even going to bother taking sides now not that it will affect them in any way but I’m just over all of this. Before I was on JaeChunSu’s side not liking SME for making them sign the ’slave’ contract but thinking realistically, can’t Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun just give up and hack the fact that they’ve already signed the 13 year contract and they might as well live with it like what Yunho and Changmin are doing. The impression I’m getting is that they signed it however many years ago hoping SME can make them famous and then now that they are famous they just want to leave SME because they’ve got what they wanted. I don’t care if it’s a so called ’slave’ contract, the term ’slave’ seems to be a bit exaggerated because come on, without SME would they be this successful? They may not get a large percentage of the profits but I’m sure their incomes are still quite high compared to the average person who has to pay rent, food, electricity and like 10 other bills whereas SME provided DBSK with a majority of those things.

These 3 are telling people to “always keep the faith” but I don’t really see them keeping it. If they were to keep the faith they should be satisfied with what they’ve achieved so far in life and continue working with the other 2 members promoting DBSK to make the group even more successful. Right now they are risking their careers by going to court with SME because I believe DBSK will only excel even greater lengths as a 5 member group, I really don’t want to see them split up and going their separate ways.

One last thing, they should remember that without SME there wouldn’t even be a Dong Bang Shin Ki; shouldn’t they be grateful that SME created the group in the first place.

This is just a personal opinion so please don’t bash me (: I will still always love DBSK, the group that got me into kpop in the first place!

I ordered this concert like over a month ago and after a lot of issues, it has finally arrived :D Watched it as soon as I got it last night and I was very very impressed. More than impressed actually, I’m in love with Raymond all over again <3 When I first heard about Raymond having a concert at the HK Colosseum I had mixed feelings about it because even though he’s been singing theme songs for years, he’s only released 3 albums and he hasn’t really had much experience as a proper singer.

I like wrote an essay on this concert so I’ll hide the rest under a cut.

Normally the opening is my favourite part but this one wasn’t that great and I couldn’t really feel the excitement that was meant to be created…but anyways, I’ll point out the highlights of the concert :D

忘記傷害 – This is the song from Survivor’s Law! I was obsessed with this song at some point in life and I’m still in love with it. Ray sang it with so much emotion and his grandma from Moonlight Resonance comes on stage and gives him a hug during the song, what a lucky lady! His performance of this did not disappoint me at all but then I’ve already heard this song live before when he came to Sydney :P I even have a fancam of it haha XD

Wong Cho Lam’s (王祖藍) guest appearance – I only posted the talk bit but Cho Lam also sang one of Eason’s songs and sang a song with FAMA. I love Cho Lam, he is such a funny little guy and he’s really witty andd to top all that off, he is amazingly skilled when it comes to singing, such a talented little guy. During his talk bit in the concert he pretends to be Raymond and tries to talk like him and it sounded really similar XD

你不在 – YESSS it’s LEEHOM’s song. This part totally made me spazz literally! It’s like the love of my life is singing the other love of my life’s song and it just happens to be one of my faves! I’d totally die if he sang Kiss Goodbye!
Objectively speaking, Ray’s vocals aren’t as strong as Leehom’s but the subjective side of me is taking over and telling me that this performance was still WIN. And you have to admit, he handled those high notes pretty well ;) BUT wth is he wearing…=S

愛在記憶中找你 – I just watched this again and I’m spazzing crazily still. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ x 1000000000 this song soooo much! When I first heard it in The Drive of Life it was like love at first sight listen. They changed this live version slightly and Ray pulled out this massive long note (my music terminology sucks so I have no idea what its called) during the end of the first verse! Overall, sang with a lot of emotion and I understand again why I had this song on repeat for days when it was first released!

換個方式愛你 -Such a beautiful performance! When I first heard the studio version of this song I wasn’t that into it, but watching it live is a totally different story. Ray was so into it, he even said he was in tears while recording the song. I wonder who he was singing it for, (Tavia or Leila? :P) I mean you’d have to be singing it for someone to put so much emotion into it XD

記得忘記 – For those that don’t know, this is the sub theme for Eternal Happiness, one of my favourite TVB series :) Okay, I admit he didn’t sing this song that great. I think at this point he was getting really tired and running out of breath. I still really enjoyed watching it because this is like my favourite song by Ray and he also mentions in the concert that it was the first song he ever recorded ^^ I think this was also his first time performing it live!

Let’s Get Wet Medley – I think this was basically the ultimate highlight of the concert. Well the concert is named after this song right? I was so awed by it! They somehow managed to make this moat-like thing around the stage with these hot dancer girls in bikinis playing in the water and they also brought out this massive gold canon that sprayed water everywhere. There was also a MASSIVE shower built around the top of the stage that sprayed down mass amounts of water. Basically everyone was very wet! I also saw people in the audience with water pistols spraying water at them :S They should just make this the MV for Let’s Get Wet because the official one sucked :P There were so many dancers…it kinda turned a bit 18+ because the girls were all in bikinis and dancing against Ray XD I love Let’s Get Wet hehe.

Last but definitely not least…

愛不疚 - Great song to end the concert because I think he became more popular as a singer from this song. This performance made me think of how much more popular Ray has gotten compared with Golden Faith days. Speaking of Golden Faith, I’ve been a fan of Ray since I was like 11 ROFL.

Other things I found interesting:

• Ray sang a cantonese version of JYP’s Honey XD
• At one stage during the concert Ray sat on the metal bars that surrounded the stage and I saw fangirls touching his back/backside =S Caps:

• There’s a screen displaying the lyrics of the songs on the stage near the bottom of it, they should have avoided filming it because it was kinda weird lol.
• While Ray was shaking hands with the audience this one girl wouldn’t let go and he like almost tripped LOL
• Ray’s awkward moving on the stage during Charlene’s solo
• Charlene’s massive heels O_O How did she manage to walk in those shoes?

• Charlene saying she only got invited as a guest because a certain ’someone’ (Linda) couldn’t make it XD Yeah lame I know but I found it amusing.
• Charlene pretending to be all shy when she got to hold hands with Ray haha my Charlene bias is showing :P
• Some of the people in the audience brought raincoats and wore them during the Let’s Get Wet medley, smart HKers haha.
• Ray’s gangsta engrish XD Yo ma man :P

Overall, I really enjoyed watching this concert but I admit, Ray still has a lot of room for improvement. His dancing was mediocre and he needs to develop more charisma. If you weren’t a fan of Ray then you may have thought this concert was only average but I think you need to consider the fact that he’s an actor turned singer, he’s done pretty well if you take that into consideration. In fact I dare say best of his kind in this generation. Actually I shouldn’t say that because he’s the only actor turned singer that’s had his own proper concert (I don’t count those TVB mini concerts as proper ones).

Moving on, what I liked most about this concert was the fact that it held my attention throughout the whole show. That doesn’t happen very often hence why I still haven’t even finished watching TVXQ’s ‘O’ Concert and ‘T’ Concert, I’m such a terrible fan…the language barrier kinda puts me off it. I guess another reason why I loved Ray’s concert so much is the fact that I knew every single song he sang, including the covers he did (:

To make up for my spazzy moments I’ll list some negatives to the concert.

• The costumes were kinda strange, I didn’t really like them much.
• You could tell Ray was getting tired towards the end, his voice was much weaker.
• He can’t really dance that well *rolleyes*
• His voice isn’t very versatile so he was sort of weak when singing the fast songs.
• He did not perform 心領, why did Linda have to be busy…WHY?! Or he could have sang a solo version like what he did in Sydney.
• Not enough stage presence? That didn’t affect me because I was still pretty high from watching the DVD but I’m a bit of a Ray fangirl :P

Taeyang is going to have his comeback very very soon and I am VERY VERY excited! Today YG released his new song, “Where U At” and the music video for it and I’m loving both!

The music video wasn’t anything too flashy, it was basically just Taeyang dancing to the song but gosh I love his moves! He’s very smooth and a very charismatic dancer. The song has a big rnb feel to it which matches Taeyang’s style which is also why I love this guy so much, he smashes those rnb songs with his soulful voice!

At the end of the MV they play a tiny segment from his next song Wedding Dress and omg I am in LOVE already. It was a sad piano melody which kind of reminded me of Big Bang’s Stay. I’m so freaking excited about the release of Taeyang’s new album now, the anticipation is killing me!

I didn’t talk about this song before because I wasn’t really into it much but after the release of the 30sec CF I started listening to it more and now I’m ADDICTED ♥

The MV came out today and OMG I am speechless.

It was perfect, the dance, the expressions, everything about this MV was perfect. I was only a tad disappointed with the white outfits because those high waist shorts do no fit the overall concept of the MV but leaving that aside, I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MUSIC VIDEO ♥♥♥ I love that rich, classy, elegant yet sexy concept they used…really showed a different side of the girls and it really worked. They’re all looking incredibly amazing ♥ I think Tiffany and Sunny stood out the most to me during my first watch, the shots of them two looked really really attractive. Just watched it again, I have come to the conclusion that all 9 girls look freaking AMAZING!

Btw, I’m really liking the way they sang this song, it’s so different and I just love the feel of it. SNSD never disappoint :D

Having a massive girl crush moment *blush*

If this phone comes to Australia with SNSD as its endorser I am seriously going to buy it even though I hated my last Chocolate phone XD I hope they show this video on the LG tv’s at department stores because I remember they use to show Rain videos when he was the promoter ;) Or was that Samsung?

Oh and…check out the live performance of Chocolate Love from the showcase. I think the girls were lipsyncing and they wore those white outfits which I’m really not liking too much but other than that it was awesome ;) The dance is soooo sexy!

SNSD - Part 1 || Part 2
These are subbed btw. I love the practice video! Spazzed so badly when I first watched it without the subs because they remind me of GGTS days hehe. The girls have like forgotten the ITNW dance XD Jessica like bosses everyone around even though she’s forgotten the dance too haha she’s such a crack up these days. Taeyeon being all excited about her part and then screaming it out was like the highlight for me…she really enjoyed singing out of tune XD Also loved Yuri’s randomness!

The actual performance was really cool too. Their hoodies remind me of GG. What I liked about this is the fact that they sang LIVE…it was the first time I’ve heard SNSD sing ITNW live…they were awesome!

Lastly, the little dance performance by Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Yuri made me spazz like crazy as well! These three all have different styles but they blended well together with the music. Yuri’s facial expressions are always so seductive bet all the guys loved it ;)

On a side note, GD looks so hot…I’m going to have to watch his performances!! Shallow much? *shifty eyes*

Big Bang & 2NE1 – Last Farewell
I miss Big Bang so much! Hope Daesung gets well soon because it’s just not the same without his happy smiley face! Last Farewell is like my all time favourite Big Bang song so I was so happy when they performed this! They’re looking great esp. GD and Taeyang hehe. Big Bang has this amazing stage presence, they’re really good at getting the audience all hyped up! I swear they made their appearance feel like we were at a Big Bang concert or something :D 2NE1’s performance of Last Farewell at the start was good too but they kind of got overshadowed by BB…

Jessica & Sooyoung Wrestling cut
This game is funny XD 2 girls get chosen and 1 has to lie down while the other girl has to do everything they can to make the one lying down flip over. Sooyoung had to verse a girl from T-Ara I think (?) I’m not sure but I think that’s the name I heard. SY was the person who had to flip the girl over and she was surprisingly gentle rofl. She probably didn’t want to hurt the poor girl haha so SY ended up losing. I was thinking to myself if she had to verse Yuri or Jessica or probably any of the other Soshi girls she would have been so much crazier XD
The second one was Jessica vs Narsha from Brown Eyed Girls. This one was much more violent haha. Jessica was the one who had to lie down and Narsha was like fully on top of her trying to flip her over rofl. It was cute how she helped Sica fix up her dress half way through the game hehe. I love Sica’s sound effects and facial expressions XD

Blindfold game cut
Another little game where there’s 2 girls, one gets blindfolded while another walks up next to her and the one who’s blindfolded has to guess who that girl is. This game is a bit suss though because they  full on touch the girl so they can guess who she might be. The fanboys would have loved this game though rofl. I found it funny how Jessica jumps straight onto that 4minute girl’s lap XD *I still don’t know all of the 4minute girls yet so I have no idea what her name is*

Dance cut
Jessica, Sooyoung and Sunny dance to Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl LOL. The song matches the show rofl. These 3 are the most underated dancers in SNSD imo. I’ve always loved Jessica’s dancing because she’s really good with the facials and Sooyoung’s a really fun dancer like she makes you want to get up and dance too while Sunny has awesome facial expressions too. The cut was too short to see anything crazy but I still enjoyed watching it ^^

Star Dance Battle

SNSD - Sorry Sorry || Smooth Criminal
Sorry Sorry was too short and it just wasn’t the same without Taeyeon doing the shawtyyyyy part at the end and Jessica doing Heechul’s end pose. But Smooth Criminal was spectacular! I was actually pretty amazed by it because before this I didn’t know Sunny was such a good dancer…I swear they need to put Sunny bunny under the spotlight more! Even though she couldn’t hold her pose for long during the end of the dance her oww bit made up for it XD All the other girls were awesome too…they really mastered the moonwalk! I also LOVE the outfits…they look so hot in them!

After School – Again&Again
This is actually the first time I’ve watched a performance by After School and I gotta say they pretty much mastered Again&Again. I get sad every time I watch this though especially during Jay’s parts. Please come back soon T_T I thought it was really nice of that girl to write that message on her arm (:

Super Junior – Tell Me Your Wish
This was cooool! I loved how Eunhyuk added the rap to TMYW but it looked weird seeing guys do the leg moves not that I haven’t seen it before since so many have tried but yeah XD The end was funny when they half their pants off and Seohyun was literally like this :O Then they started doing Sorry Sorry, Abracadabra and I Hate You dance. They also did another one but I don’t know that one =S If only Heechul was here…that would have been perfect :D

KARA – Nobody
The cover was average, not as good as the Wonder Girls. I think KARA should have added their own flavour into it, that would have been better. I was so happy to see Nicole doing Yubin’s rap hehe she didn’t get enough screentime though <_< I’m pretty Nicole biased when it comes to KARA XD

Today I had to go to uni for a group assignment but it ended earlier than expected so I decided to go for a quick browse at Kinokuniya before I headed home. Knowing my impulse buying habits I probably shouldn’t have went there because I ended up coming out with this in my hands…

Yep, that’s right…S.H.E’s book. Kino were extremely slow at getting it in though because I’ve secretly been checking the Chinese books section every week since its release so that I could have a peek at it XD

I wasn’t planning on buying this but now that I’ve gotten it I’m incredibly keen to start reading it hehe. It even comes with a S.H.E bookmark! I won’t actually use this though because last time I used one of my good bookmarks I ended up losing it when I returned a library book T__T I was like 14 and it was this really hot picture of Edison from Initial D haha :P

I miss S.H.E…haven’t really listened to their songs for a while or watched any of their videos. Must do that during my holidays! It’s funny how I like all the crazy/weird/dorky girl groups haha…SNSD have some competition when it comes to craziness because S.H.E can be pretty damn wild XD

From Heading to the Ground OST

MUST LISTEN ♥♥ I had this song on repeat this morning because it totally beautified my morning :D I never knew Taeyeon and Sunny’s voices would blend so well together and Sunny just sounds really really really good ♥ I’m such a fail Yunho fan because I haven’t watched any of Heading to the Ground and to be honest I don’t really want to watch it >.< I might just so I can understand this awesome song a little more :P Anyways back to the song. We all knew how powerful and awesome Taeyeon’s voice is but who would have guessed Sunny’s woud be so powerful too. I probably said this in my Jazz Gee post but dang they need to let Sunny sing more ballads, she has such a pretty voice and she’s really good with those high notes.
