Jaebum leaving 2pm

So Jaebum has just left a message on the official 2pm site and is now leaving 2pm and Korea. I was pretty devastated when I read the news about an hour ago. It’s just not something I expected to happen. How could he give up (or JYPE give up on him) so easily? He made a few mistakes 4 years ago, so what? I don’t even consider his myspace comments to be THAT bad, not bad enough to start all these ridiculous petitions telling him to leave Korea and even commit suicide =__=” Isn’t that just WAYYY too far? Sometimes when you’re pissed off/in a bad mood you say things that you don’t actually mean…I’ll be very honest, when I was in HK 6 months ago I reached the point where I was not liking the ethics/attitudes of HK people so I’ve probably complained about them being “gay” but that’s only something you think at that moment since something has ticked off a nerve. Later on you forget about it and you continue on with life. People need to chill a bit, they take some things too seriously.

And one more thing, SNSD have made mistakes yet they’re still out in the music industry stronger than ever even though from memory I think they have the largest anti-fan base. Tiffany was once criticized for saying the wrong thing on television yet she has been forgiven so I don’t see how Jaebum won’t be forgiven because his messages weren’t even meant to be read by the whole world, they were just comments to his friend.

After all that, I support whatever decision Jae makes. I just hope it’s not JYP that’s forcing him to quit. People should just let Jae do whatever he wants to do and let him be happy. At the moment I could imagine all he’d want would be to have a reunion with his family and friends in the US.

Good luck Jaebum, 2pm won’t be the same without you (they were getting so popular as well) :(

Celebrity Fanboy/Fangirls

Been following Baidu bars again recently because Chinese fans are so efficient XD I came across this interesting news article thingy which I thought I should share because I love it when idols reveal their inner fangirl/fanboy feelings haha.

The other night there was this MASSIVE Star Golden Bell idol special which had the bestest guestlist ever :D So this piece of news was based on that.

The idol of idols has to be Dong Bang Shin Ki

On the 15th of August KBS2’s Star Golden Bell released an idol special episode. The guests on the night included SNSD, 2pm, KARA, Shinee and 2AM. There were a few surveys undertaken on the idols including one which was based on the topic “Have you ever joined another idol’s fan cafe?” Sooyoung and Taecyeon (of 2pm) both admitted that they have joined DBSK’s which proves DBSK’s popularity amongst idols.

I always knew Sooyoung was a big fangirl XD She was totally fangirling over the guy from VOS in Factory Girl hehe…it was so funny yet cute at the same time :D And finding out about Taec FANBOYING has just made my day XD

Again&Again/Hate You remake by Royal Pirates

This is one AWESOME remake :D I’ve loved every one of Royal Pirate’s remakes but they just keep getting better and better.
For those that don’t know of Royal Pirate, this band consists of 2 Korean guys who make rock versions of certain songs (not necessarily kpop). This time they decided to remake Again&Again/Hate You which happens to be on my repeat right now :D The song starts off with Again&Again which doesn’t go for long and flows into Hate You. It’s amazing how they can change the beat of the song yet it still sounds so good but different. I really like the last bit and taec’s rap part, that sounds so cool XD I quite like the singer’s voice as well and I love how they play their own instruments.

120609 MUSIC BANK – 2PM WINS

2PM won last night’s music bank, like FINALLY :D
[I had this post written up 5 days ago but I never got around to finishing it due to exams but now I shall continue :P]

Sorry about the delay.

Their Again&Again/Hate You performance was AWESOME! They had really cool outfits this time because I was totally not buying the pink from one of their previous performances but this week they were wearing streetwear which looked so hot ♥
Again&Again was shortened so they could fit in Hate You which is another song on their latest mini album and the song they are going to start promoting. A&A performance was excellent as always but I do miss the remix version with the break dancing part but I have to admit they were looking pretty damn good during Hate You esp. taecyeon, he was totally on fire with those sunglasses ♥ However, I must say that the choreography for Hate You looked kind of strange XD They looked like they were all just jumping around and they had funny facial expressions as well. The steps just looked really funny when they shuffle (?) across the stage, I can’t help but laugh everytime I watch them and now everytime I listen to the song the image of them shuffling across the stage comes in my mind and makes me want to laugh hehe. Even with the weird choreography, there’s something about this song and dance that makes me want to watch it, must be 2pm’s charisma as a group :) and taecyeon’s awesome rap part XD

Phasing in…*again&again&again&again*

The kpop phase is slowly coming back xD I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing though…it brings me more entertainment but also increases procrastination XD But I’ve been good today because I wrote a whole 1700+ words worth of study notes so I’m giving myself a break/reward which means I’m going to be blogging about my latest kpop obsessions >:o) Actually let me correct myself, they’re not really obsessions yet but I’ve just been really into the following groups ^^

First up…

I’ve known about these guys for ageesssss like since their debut and I’ve listened to their stuff as well but I never had them on repeat or watched their performances or anything. But last week I randomly came across a video of them on youtube so I decided to watch some of their comeback performances and they AMAZED me. Truly. These guys debuted like not even a year ago yet their live performances are so awesome, they can sing, they can dance and they have awesome stage presence. Talk about attraction XD So after watching THIS particular performance I thought to myself, omg I must follow these guys more ^^ And now I’m *starting* to learn their names and match them with faces XD So far I’ve mastered Jaybeom, Nickhun, Junsu and Junho…I can kind of recognise Taec most of the time too but I’m still trying to learn Chansung and Wooyoung’s faces ^__^” A bonus that comes with these guys is the fact that THREE of them can speak ENGLISH fluently. This makes me so happy because if I ever see them in real life (which won’t happen :P) we will be able to COMMUNICATE! This can’t happen with Super Junior/DBSK/Wonder Girls…*sigh* One more thing, no favouritism as of yet XD But I can sense it coming ;]
I can tell there will be many many posts on them in the future from me…especially since I’ll be on holidays soon :D So I shall create a 2pm category (:

I guess it’s not too late to start blogging about them now right? These girls are awesome :D I’v been interested in them ever since Lollypop but now that I’ve watched them perform Fire I know I have a new girl group to follow ^__^ I feel that they’re really different to the other kpop girl groups out there as all the other ones exploit the whole ’sexy’ or ‘cute’ theme (I still LOVE the Wonder Girls though!) which gets a bit overwhelming at times but 2NE1 carry the whole “I have an attitude so deal with it” image and I just love that XD Their first song Fire (which I’ve posted about before) is so catchy and you MUST watch a live performance of it if you haven’t already done so (probably the 2nd one would be the best bet) as they are REALLY incredible when performing live considering they debuted like last month! They really capture your attention and have this stage presence to them especially MINJI and CL. Minji is such an amazing dancer and she’s so young yet she can really dominate the stage, I just keep staring at her during their performances because she’s just so good O__O And after listening to them singing Umbrella by Rihanna (Listen here) I have come to the conclusion that Minji has SO SO much potential to be successful in the future. She can SING and DANCE! Their english, however, needs some brushing up xD AND CL,omgosh, she’s younger than me yet she’s the leader of the group. That’s so amazing yet she really does have that charismatic leadership characteristic within her. In conclusion, I must keep up to date with this group :D
